A Hopeless Romantic's Wish
Lockdown | Day 33
No, it's April, not even Valentine's Day.
The most days passed with the least human physical and real contact, aside from my main family, that I ever be. No, I haven't been binge watching Korean Drama or any romantic stories.
Instead, I was exposed to lots of music performance live and recorded, online. It came to me that
1) How fun that you can work with your partner side by side - Endah n Rhesa. Well, that also may backlash, like work-family-love-life are mixed altogether but well, hello this is a hopeless romantic writing.
2) How cool is that to have someone with high artistic skill in your home - John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. Watching Mr. Legend via Youtube through so-so speaker quite shakes my heart and ear, cannot imagine if I was the one who lives in the same house with him, it's like a never ending live concert everyday.
3) It's out of the performances, but couple married in 2019 and just before the lockdown are somewhat lucky. Tho US reported increase of divorces but I guess newlywed should handle it better since they still have the initial excitement of co-living. Also they save themselves from back-to-back losing meaning texting or repeated video call that may loss its excitement.
4) If number one seems to scary and risky, perhaps "collaborate" can smooth it up. A couple that can work on something together that both enjoys - Victor and Sam on Insta. Being locked down in home, they helped each other to create contents or tiktoks. In short, one of love language, quality time - both can fulfill their passion and ideas together in the same time, be intimately productive - gosh, I like that phrase.
Someone told me, a beggar cannot be choosy. A hopeless romantic cannot be demanding. Why expect someone that can work/collaborate/artsy and talented if no one seems able to fall into the same weird frequency like me😆.
I was very impressed that John Legend can match his wife. While he was charmingly dressed up, gorgeously singing while playing the piano, his wife was wrapped in towel, making noise by sitting on his piano keys. He still looks in adoration to her. She doesn't often smile or react to his music - I mean, the Legend plays in front of you - but when she does laugh, it's a dedicated effort and expression for him only. Like he is one of few that can draw such emotion out of her.
Amazing how I can write such observation from a not even romantic drama, but 60 minute music YouTube recording.
