what would i post in instagram?
40 million photos per day are uploaded in instagram. Roughly say, 11 thousand photos per second. are we really in the “me generation"?
so, yesterday I told my so-naive-media-blind friends about instagram phenomenon, when it is significant for someone to take their food as photo before their eat, or to capture the outfit of the day, as well as where they are at the moment.
not to mention the train-length hash-tag for every photo based on the brand, filter, request for liking, etc. etc. am i too critical or just a cynical ...?
then, one of the so-naive-media-blind friends wondered what people should post when it not comes to ootd, or foodgasm?
i was silenced. frankly, until 10 minutes later i couldnt answer that question. isnt it the tendency for people to know what others doing, what others like, what others wear? include me, well, i admit.. kepo, indeed.
then, i arrived at my enviable friend who travel a lot by free, yet her instagram also contains beautiful places, ootd. (still hasnt any food, tough). with longer story of her photo, the impression i had isnt that she shows off what she experienced. but she shares story.
what i feel is warm at heart, even tough the one who experience the longing-for places isnt me, but her. especially when she wrote verse from bible. it come to me that the purpose of one upload the post is what truly matters.
what i find in most of posts are merely efforts to fame, efforts in collecting likes, efforts to just say that 'well, i have been to that places, i have eaten this and that, look! what i wear today is this cool.'
i dont know the real intention of the enviable friend was. but this is the answer of my posting title. what would i post in instagram is the reflection of honesty, feelings, thoughts, self, and sincerity without any fabrication or polishings. because the contra of those are the factors who cause the similarities of posts of people.
since, i am a cynical one who coincidently trapped in social perspective, then my post will be social reality, mocking, and reflection.
for example, the government car causing and riving the traffic in the end of office hour.
